Stand, Sit, Kneel, Rinse, Repeat

By Gruntled

Friday morning I wasn’t really felling well, then we had some serious network traffic issues which kept us much more busy than usual. When I got home on Friday evening, the nausea was undeniable, and so began the long and dreary weekend spend in very close proximity to the water closet.

It was awful, and I didn’t get to do anything at all. The girls went to stay with my parents, and I hugged thundermug until Sunday night. I had checked the local weather early in the week, which said that it would be rainy, so the idea of going to the Renn Fest was out, and the ideas of taking the kids camping or to the beach were out. The weekend was pretty. I watched the bright sunlight shooting through the slits in the bathroom window’s blinds and shade, making intersting Kanji-like shapes on the painted wall, and in my delerium, imagined their likenesses to caveman stick figures portraying ancient game, stories of epic hunts.

Later, after having passed out on the couch (I’m surprised I’d made it that far), and trying to force-hydrate myself, I tried to open the living room window for some fresh air, but couldn’t.

I’m glad it didn’t last any longer, but I got better just in time to get back to work. Now it’s the begining of the month, with lots of reporting and support issues, etc.
